The Wallpaper Project: Day 15,16,17

I apologize for the lack of posts for the past few days, but I made up for it by making 3 wallpapers.

I really love that quote from the book “The Joy Luck Club”

“I looked in the mirror, I was strong. I was pure. I had genuine thoughts inside that no one could see, that no one could ever take away from me. I was like the wind. And then I draped the large embroidered red scarf over my face and covered these thoughts up. But underneath the scarf I still knew who I was. I made a promise to myself: I would always remember my parents’ wishes,

but I would never forget myself.

Lindo Jong from The Joy Luck Club

Reading good quotes everyday is somehow making me a better person. It helps me think more positively about life. Why not do that too?

Download an app or go to a quotes website and just read some quotes you like. You never know, maybe it’ll make your day a little brighter. 🙂

The Wallpaper Project: Day 12

Le independence day has yet again come upon my country(the Philippines). People greet or shout “Happy Independence Day“, but are we really free?

Day 12: Dr. Jose Rizal (our country’s national hero)

Free from what you ask?

Free to take pictures anywhere? Try taking your dslr inside the malls.

Free from the corruption that stinks in our government?

Free from the dreaded commutes due to the hellish transportation “system” of buses and jeeps?

Free to love someone with the same gender without getting bashed by peers or the church?

We must learn to COMPLAIN,you have a voice then USE IT. If we want the government and the church to listen. I’m not saying to go out and start a picket or a rally of sorts, no no no, you use and do what you can in your own way.

Write a poem, compose a song, draw a poster, design something to help make our country beautiful, then SHOW it to your friends, SHARE it with the world.

Its better to have hoped that you tried than to not have tried at all.

YOU(to my Filipino readers) be the judge of this, how do you react to Independence day, what would YOU do?
